Javea - Xabia

Nestled in a wide bay with mountain backdrops Javea is one of the most popular resorts in the Costa Blanca region, with fine golden beaches and plenty to offer visitors you can see why some people do not leave.

Spilt into three sections: Javea Puerto (Port), Javea Pueblo (Old town) and the Playa de Arenal (Main Beach). With all three there is plenty on offer and all tastes are catered for from old ruins, traditional Spanish whitewashed houses in the Old town to the reams of shops, stores and attractions of the Arenal

At one time the cove of Portet in Moraira was shelter for Phoenician, Greek, Roman, Arab and traders. Today the area is weel suited for nautical sports and attractions. The seafront of Moraira features the 1742 castle with Royal Borbon family shield over the doorway.

Shopping & Markets

From the narrow streets in the Old town you will find local produce and arts and crafts, Thursday is a great day if you like markets with a large market in the Plaza de la Construction.
